14 fDivider Students at Parker this year al- ways have something to cheer about. Lively assemblies filled with colorful characters encourage stu- dent body participation. Pep rallies add an extra boost to our athletes just before important games. Most students get involved with school activities, but Parker students have interests outside school. The presi- dential and local campaigns, junior Achievement, and civic groups keep students busy in their after- school hours. The athletic department at Park- er offers a wide range of activities for both sexes. For the first time male and female students partici- pate in tennis, volleyball, and track and field events. For the third year, Parker has girls' varsity basketball team and for the first time a junior varsity team. Parker is indeed an equal opportunity sports center. Painting School Spirit signs is an enjoyable task for Beth Waldrop. TOP RIGHT jerseys can be found almost anywhere after a hectic game. BOTTOM RIGHT Tennis always puts a smile on Rose Peele's face. Fun, dancing, and the sounds of the Fresh Licks highlighted the Senior Prom on May 21, 1976, at the Ramada lnn. That special night, which the seniors had planned so long for, had finally arrived. Russell Connor, president of the Senior class, and his date April Cisson led the Grand March on to the dance floor to start the dancing. Using the theme Evening in Paradise, the Seniors cast all their worries aside for the evening and enjoyed the events of their special night. 16 fProm
