irir'ki k'kir'k'Ir'k'A' VOCATION AL BUILDING TEXTILES-The purpose of textile department is to train the students and adults of the Parker District on the actual machines, thus abbreviating the training period in the textile plants. MACHINE SHQP-Approximately 65 boys are taking lylachine Shop. This training will enable them to do skilled work when they are called into the Armed Forces or to get good jobs when they hnish school. DRAFTING-Fifty-four boys are training to be draftsmen and architects. The boys also learn how to read blueprints and how to make them. Math goes along with machine shop work. ARTS AND CRAFTS-One hundred and twenty-live students are taking arts and crafts this year. It is here that they do basket work, drawing, painting, soap carving, Woodwork, leather Work and many other interesting things pertaining to art. CCNINIERCIAL-There are two hundred thirty-one shorthand, typing and bookkeeping students. Their training will help them to meet the war needs now, and will prepare them for becoming useful citizens. BODY AND FENDER-Here the boys are trained to straighten fenders and paint cars. They are graded on the work they do. My .wihg 1 is XS?
