What Does the Future Hold?” Good morning folks! We just flew in on Flight 65 with that curvacious stewardess, April Tucker. We're here, J. C. Keesey, UPI reporter, and Dave Morris, UPI cameraman, to find out what the good folks of Parker are doing after the Twenty Year War over water rights. We went to see Lawyer Weidel and learned from her legal secretary Pam Davis, that she is buying out Fort Knox. Pat Dye, plastics research engineer, and David Peterson, chemical engineer, are also making money with their product Plastough , designed by Jeanette Dye, famed mathematician. This product is being used by Frank Savino in the construction of irrigation ditches. Ray Alcaida and Bub Hall are veterinarians and thriving with the increased grazing area bringing more cattle. Parker High School has become famous with the rising stardom of its lone pom-pom girl, Myron Bottorff, trained by PE teacher, Sharon Biceps Gorrell, said Ted Vaughn, social studies teacher. The school now has a full-time nurse, Emma Palmer, and a psychiatrist, Mike Tobey. Danny Traxler is starring in Love: Italian Style that he wrote and is directing. We went to the Parker Medical Center next, and has the place expanded! Marcia Mayfield, cosmetologist and John McCabe, D.V.M. , were only a few we saw. We went in to see Benny Simmons, renowned obstetrician, but his secretary, Christy, said he was out. Rose Yazzie took David's temperature as a consolation. As we went out the door we ran into Verlyn Jones, psychiatric social worker. She said to see Calvin Laffoon, head of the Tribal Council, about welfare among the Indians. We went but Calvin was out. Dan Eddy and Eldred Enas, Tribal Council members, said the tribes were benefiting from the water and cited Lee Flores and Frank McCabe as two of the valley's richest ranchers. From there we stopped at Blue Water Marina and caught the hottest act in show biz ; Del Stevens and his combo with Sidney Mahalia Jackson and Alice Keys. Mike Laughlin also starred with his fabulous Sidewalk Surf-Board Act, along with Connie Zeyouma and her fire-baton. Next we went to the Parker Art Institute and saw some paintings by Sherrie Odgen, Jack Lankhorst, and Kelly Darnell. We stopped in to see Janice Fingers Dailey giving a rub-down to All-Pro Steve Biro. Sig Hall, Detroit Lions' fullback, and Ray Dowdy, Baltimore Colt's Q B, were also there. Then we went to Brent Ross' productions and saw Gil Lillard starring in the Rebel . Ferdina Stevens is a dental assistant on the lot assigned to keep Yuma's teeth gleaming white (34 percent fewer cavities). Chuck Biggs is in charge of e-lectrical wiring in his capacity as electrical engineer with the help of Garfield Shaffer. Deanna Bonds is Yuma’s secretary; Kathleen Brown is Chuck's secretary; Connie Fender is Garfield's secretary; and Suzanne Lesmerises is Brent's secretary. Our car was about out of gas so we stopped at Ed Cowles' garage. Paul Clark, chief mechanic, said that Orlinda Peck and Linda Sachak were happily married. Clyde Short hollored from under a Rolls-Royce that Cheri Wymore had just won the Hog-Calling Championship for the 10th time. Just then that glamourous Hollywood Starlet, Kay Williams, drove up. She said she had just come from an interview with that elite gossip columnist, Sharon Holland. Larry Starr came in behind us towing a car. It seems Francis Mahkewa was so excited at becoming an R. N. that she ran into a telephone pole telling Toni Romo, a plain old farmer's wife, the good news. When we sped away, we saw Judy Smith, Queen of the River and her lovely court composed of Susan Muse, Elsie Ray, and Glenna Turner. Es-courting them were Robert Scott, Vallance Arkie, and Mel Arnold. As we drove into the setting sun, the sound of David Wood's Honda faded into the distance.
