Michael Dailey, Office of Special Investigation, United States Air Force. My assignment: Re-visit Parker and investigate the reason why no other members of my class have joined the Air Force. As I first entered town, I was stopped by a tall, slender patrolman who asked for my name and address. I recognized the trooper as Gary Hoover, an old classmate of mine. Gary was off duty and offered to show me around. While we were cruising main, Gary pointed out a modern, swanky, night club featuring live Indian dances. He said that Ambrose Howard had recedorated the Oasis and turned it into an exclusive night club. William Martinez was employed as head waiter and Charlene and Marsha Emerson were featured dancers. While Gary checked in at the police station, I inquired the whereabouts of other classmates from the desk sergeant, Myron Robertson. Myron told me that Steve Solper had married a rich debutante and now owned 45, 000 acres of Parker Valley land and had the largest cattle ranch in the state. Loretta Shirley and Mildred Welsh contracted to make genuine Indian Pottery for an Eastern company and now live in an ancient imported castle on Black Mountain. Diana Miller now owns Hayden Flour Mills and has made a mint selling frozen fry bread loafs. Jackie Anderson is married to a certain Naval officer and they have four kids. Mrs. Barbara Kristman has several children and is quite content being a housewife. Mary Etta Patch had married a rich Easterner and is now living in her New York penthouse. Gilford Amador bought up Manataba Park and is now the No. 1 sports promoter in the city. Dinah and Lawanda Eddy have just completed an American Indian world tour. Anna Fisher sells autographed batons at $20 apiece. Gary and I left the station and headed towards main street. We stopped into the L C Beauty Salon. This, of course, was owned jointly by Linda Wymore and Conkie Chavez. I opened the door to say hello and ran smack into Sally Dickert, Sandy Thompson, and Janice Copeland. There were hello’s all around, then we left. We walked up to the Korner Drug and were treated to a cup of coffee by the Prop. Yolanda Saucedo. We finished and walked down to the office of the Parker Herald-Tribune and talked with editor Bob Parker and cameramen Everette Taylor and Joe Marshall. Bob said that Dave Damon had taken over as head man at the Bureau of Reclamation at Parker Dam and was on the verge of making his second million. Jim Gallaher is making a mint as a psychiatrist in L. A. As we left the office, we ran into Walt Johnson, catcher for the S. F. Giants, of the national league. He said that Ron Esquerra was playing shortstop for St. Louis and making about $130, 000 a year. We turned around and ran smack into Priscilla Van Booven. Priscilla designs sportswear for her own company and makes a cool $10, 000, 000 a year. Dovey Cragg is remaking all the Sandra Dee pictures. We went into a Bar to see Dwayne Peck, the greatest trumpeteer of the decade. Dwayne bought us a beer and told us that Richard Scott was line backing for the pro-football San Diego Chargers. Gary said that he had to get home to his wife and 10 kids so I thanked him for his assistance and said goodbye. He told me I might be able to find some of my old friends at Ernies Speed Shop down the street. I walked into the speed shop and there, sure enough, big as life, sat Gordy Shoemake, Bob Hussen, Larry Parker, Ray Hahn, and the owner, Ernie Vasarhely. Shoemake holds the world drag boat record with his Chrysler powered bomb. Larry and Ray hold drag records and show car trophies from all over the U. S. and Canada. Bob races stock cars at Daytona along with operating a chain of gas stations. Ernie said that Bruce Laughlin is a statistician with a speed parts house in L. A. I left the shop and met Patsy James, the wife of John Rockefeller of New York. Patsy said that Gary Mortensen and Richard Leivas combined their farms and now control the Parker Valley Produce Co. Lee Etta Keyes married a 7'3 basketball Player for the Harlem Globetrotters and is now completing a world tour. Patsy and I talked for a while and reminisced about all the good times we had in school. Soon I took Patsy home and said goodbye. As I drove out of town, the sun was setting over the beautiful Parker Valley and I longed for my old stomping grounds and companions. As the sun set in the West, I bid a fond adieu to Parker and my old classmates and wondered if we would ever meet again. 28 William Alcaida Richard Anderson Vallance Arkie Steve Biro Myron Bottorff Darlene Brees Kathleen Brown Steve Buford Paul Clark Marilyn Copeland Robert Crider Janice Dailey Emmaline Daniels Pamela Davis Pamela DeVinney Sarah Dock Ray Dowdy Elred Enas Connie Fender Robert Flores 30 Christy Jacobson Frank Joslin Alice Keys Calvin Lafoon Jack Lankhorst Michael Laughlin Wayne Little Frances Mahjtewa David Martinez Rebbeca Martinez Franklin McCabe Jonas Miller Robert Hall Bob Hildebrand Reba Holland Sidney Jackson David Morris Susan Museevens Lorenzo Nopah Vyonne Patch Elsie Ray Gary Reid Sammy Romo Harry Ross Linda Sachak Dina Saucedo Robert Scott Sandra Scott Clyde Short Richard Silva Benny Simmons Judith Smith Ken Smith Sherrie Smith Larry Starr Delford Stevens 32 Truman Stevens Donna Thompson Michael Tobey Daniel Traxler Arpil Tucker Billie VanBooven Jeanette Vasarhely Gladys Weidel Felix Welsh Sterling Welsh Mike Williams Dana Wilson David Wood Cheri Wymore Leonardo Yava Rosabelle Yazzie DIMICE ROW 1: J.
