di FOREWORD . . . TWIS IS TWE BLOSSOUINS YEAR Within this Bison lies the final stage of the old Parker High School building, with glimpses of past growth and visions of a budding future. Perhaps few ever dreamed that this school building would one day be uprooted to make way for a structure of beauty and elegance that would combine the past, present, and future to make the road ahead more meaningful. A beautiful garden filled with a riot of color and permeated with the sweet fragrance of delicate perfumes must be cultivated to thrill the beholder. This is true also of earned.respect. It must be planted, cared for. and perpetuated if it is to yield its rich harvest of golden dreams. Mr. Robert Charles Johnson, our beloved principal, has aided in upgrading the curriculum and in acquiring school accreditation. He has given relentlessly of his time, talent, resourcefulness and enthusiasm, especially in supporting student projects. Truly he has planted the seed of respect in the minds of students by the millions who have graced the halls of Parker High School. Many of them are now doctors, lawyers, teachers, ministers, artists, writers and scores of representatives of a hundred other professions and callings. To you, Mr. Johnson, we proudly dedicate this our 1968-69 Bison as a symbol of the dedication and respect that took root in the spring of our high school memories. t 3 Parker High School is justifiably proud of its high scholastic standards, its brilliant athletic record, its impressive musical achievements, its efficient student government, and its undaunted school spirit. With inspiration of victories won and goals attained, may you move forward in this challenging age to new accomplishments in each field of endeavor. May you continue to direct your talents and efforts toward the ideal of joining your predecessors as worthy members of society. Sincerely yours. 0 . R. C.
