Wrestling Imagine this: Stepping into a new sports car for the first time. The car is fully equipped and ready to cruise. An exciting feeling passes over you as you ig- nite the roaring engine. The power and stamina surprise you. As you shift into high speed, you realize that your on top, you're a winner. If you can understand that feeling, then you know how coaches Kropuenske and Sattler felt when wrestling season opened. ' Duals and tournaments were rest stops on a road to victory. Ioined by new wrestlers and ex- tra support from the fans, the car- pool of grapplers were headed on a highway to the domination of the scoreboards and the ruling of the mats. The drive of determination was caused by everyone. But the shift- ing from low to high gear was due mainly to placing second in districts. The team on their way to full power. Regions were a high hill to climb but the Pheasants did it. They left there with their heads held high and four wrestlers on their way to state. The gas mileage was great and the tank was half full. At state, the wrestlers gave it their best shot and excelled their limits. If the power of the wres- tling team was measured in MPH, then the saying, I can't drive 55 would be appropriate in describing the PHS wrestling team. Eventually, the season was wrapped up with staggering statistics and an outstanding record. Donald Even ended up with the most wins and Terry Fluit had the most pins. But, Hey all you fans out there, don't be sad. The team's already fueling up for next year. 68 Wrestling -'aa' ll L1 Varsity.
