Dancing cupids royalty and your sweethearts together made the dance complete. Mr. Deutsch, Kenny Pietz, and Ieremy Meyer played the music that kept us all dancing at the Sweetheart Dance on the night of March 28, 1987. The dance was held in the old gym and was put on by the FHA and FFA. They decorated the basketball hoops as pink, white, and blue hot air bal- loons. As the night went on, the 1986 Sweetheart, Tricia Duncan and Marshall, Eugene Even, crowned Rhonda Friese and Eugene Schaefer as the 1987 Sweetheart and Marshall. Nervous! The air was filled with electricity. Sixteen young men and women were anxiously awaiting the dimming of the lights and the raising of the curtain. These young people were all members of the play cast for 1987. They had practiced for one long month anticipating this, the night of their glory. The night in which they presented REST ASSURED to the people in the community. REST ASSURED centered around the conflicting ideas of a rich tyrant and his daughter, Mary. Mary wanted to marry the son of a common meat cutter named Luigi. After a scuffle with Mr. Morlock, Luigi went to the hospital and died. As it turns out, Luigi came back in order to haunt Mr. Morlock until poor old P.U. had both feet in the grave. The whole thing turned out to be just a dream. This dream changed the former tyrant into a more under- standing person.
