Freshmen Shift Into High School Freshmen shifted into first gear as they entered their first year of high school. The first exciting thing that happened to them was initiation. During the day, they had to put on bibs and diapers and crawl across the floor and eat applesauce off a plate with their hands behind their backs. Then, every time they saw a senior in the hall they had to cry and suck their thumbs! Talk about exciting! As they shifted into second gear, they took a look at their new and different classes. When they approached extra- curricular activities, they just had to shift into third. There was no other choice but to check out their new and challenging activ- ities for the year. tFinally, shifting into high gear proved to be the most rewarding of all. And as they look back they will have many memories of their Freshman year.
