WRESTLING When you take a gllmpse of the 1985-86 wrestling season you saw many eager and determined wrestlers grappling their way to the top. A gllmpse of thls year's season was filled wlth action. The year's record ended up at 3- 6-0. Cory Jensen had a record of 13-12-1 and 6 plns, Robb Jensen 16-13 and 5 pins, Leo Even 10-15-1 and 3 plns, Jim Chaney 14- 13-1 and 6 plns plus 3 technical talls, Eugene Even led wlth a total ot 17 pins and a record of 26-6, 3 technical talls, Terry Flult 11-19 wlth 3 plns. In Dlstrlct action the Pheasants sent seven wrestlers to Regions from there three quallfled tor State who were Matt Ayres QSr.j 20-14 and 4 plns 1 technical tall, Donald Even fJr.j 17-18 5 plns and Davld Peterson qFr.j 17-17-1 9 pins and 1 technical tall. Ending up the action packed year the team wlll lose seniors Eu gene Even, Jlm Chaney, Matt Ayres, and Rich Leber. TRACK Outstanding is the word to describe the Pheasants track season. This season the Pheasants were a strong team and were feared by many. The guy's team was real strong in the relays as they sent eight guys in all tive relays to State. This is an accomplishment only one oth er team had this season. They were also strong in many open events as Chad Nelson went to state in the discus and Carter Krumbach in the 300 meter hurdles. The girl's team was not quite as strong but they hung in there and finished in the middle with an outstanding ettort. The girls relays placed in many events. The individual events were the strongest for the girls as Monica Nel- son made it to state in the 800 meter run. The track season was really exciting as ten state track meet participants and three school records topped otf one great year. The school's records were in the boys 400 me- ter relay and the 2-mile relay and Michele Crist in the 100 meter hurdles.
