Seniors Randolph Scott and Bill Reagan and sophomore Mike Walsh all grabbed state crowns as the Panthers cap- tured their first state wrestling championship 42-32 over Westminster. Before starting the final round, the issue was in doubt as Parkdale clung to a precarious 31-29 lead. But Mike Walsh pinned in the second period for the 98-pound title. Reagan decisioned Laurel's Ed Meister for only the sec- ond time in his career, and Scott repeated as state champ with a pin. Outstanding in regular season action, Scott was l3-O with ten pins and Walsh was ll-O with seven pins. Reagan showed an 'I l-2 mark and Alphonso Fields finished with a 9- 2-l slate and placed fourth at the County Tournament. Jun- iors Bob Brooks, Tim Ring, Alan Shropshire, and Keith Woody combined for a 35-13 record with both Brooks and Ring concluding 10-2.
