Brightness Lasts Today is bright as I write this for your yearbook. The long sweep of the Missouri glistens in the sun; the trees share something of the light on their turning leaves. Soon, I suppose, grey days and rain and snow will sometimes eclipse this scene; but I predict that time will never erase the pleasant reminders you will have of 1960-61 as you turn the pages of this book. Striding down Mackay halls, riding through the hills, presiding over four hundred...Dr, Morrill has become the symbol of Park ' s leadership. Writing, planning, speaking, consulting, he has strengthened the relations of alumni and college, reinforced the purpose of faculty and staff and instilled new vigor in the student body. The sight of new build¬ ings rising from old foundations, the sound of Dickens ' Christmas Carol, a glimpse of blazing bonfire through a crowd of cheering fans all are symbols of Dr. Morrill for Park College. 6
