And we don't always need either books or an organized class to learn. Constructing an art project or completing a video- tape assignment requires us to learn special techniques, to cooperate, and to pace our own abilities. We sometimes learn as much in bull-sessions and class money-raising projects as we do in class. At P-T we have the free- dom to learn in ways that suit us best.

A Time To Participate t the End ofthe Da The bell sounds. It's ten minutes before three o'clock. Where's everybody going? asks a bystander. Planning a party for tomorrow night, screams a Span- ish Club member. I've got a Link Club meeting. I've got Barnstormers' rehearsal? I've got cheerleading practicef, French Club. Varsity Club. Student Faculty Committee meetingf' What do I do? live got to be three places at once?', Surprisingly enough, P-T students don't all go home and study after school. Many of them either participate in ser- vice clubs, language clubs, or sports. The bell rings to signal the end of the day, but activitiy simply changes location. Students migrate to the barn, to the gym, or to the , Commons, and work continues. i
