CHRONICLE Time No one has enough of it Except those who have too much of it This is a chronicle of how the students and faculty and staff of Park Tudor School use and misuse their time How we study, goof off, and waste the teachers' time. How the teachers make us work - and sometimes how they merely make work. How they manage our time and help us learn. This is a chronicle of life at Park-Tudor School. Our education. 19' - uv, v .. s Q, Q ,f ..'!Sn. x W' Q, ,f, af' r Q, X 'ffm , ' -wwf: 5 aw- , Y 'h'C 'rffX ' an ,V , ,,...,s.-.K+-..-.M--Y 'www 'Mi 5 efqfi u fggee, - 5558 , you 8 if pg. All moments, past, present, and future, always have existed, always will exist. The Tralfamadorians can look at all different moments, just the way we can look at a stretch of the Rocky Mountains, for instance. They can see how permanent all the moments are, and they can look at any moment that interests them. lt is just an illusion we have here on Earth that once a moment is gone it is gone forever. Quite simply, you've just got to believe. With these words the new head coach of the Park-Tudor Panthers football team, Mr. loseph Dezelan, led his team to a 6-2 season, the best season since the 1960 Park team. Coach Dezelan succeeded in instilling a spirit in his seniors, Mel Baird, Pat Brady, Alex Craig, john Davis, Dan Free, Mike Nemecek, and lon Toumey, and this spirit soon spread to the other members of the team and finally to the entire school. People started believing that Park- Tudor could actually play football instead of playing at playing football. This year's team, under Coach Dezelan's close supervision and with assistance from Laurence Teadwell and William Burgman, the assistant coaches, defeated teams like Sayre 6-0, White's Institute 34-14, Maumee 6-0, LaLumiere 13-12, North Shore 12-6, and Deaf School 34-0. It also lost heated contests to Zionsville 0-6 and Kentucky Country Day 8-12. Even though eight seniors, seven of whom were regular starters, will be graduating in lune, prospects for next year look very good. Players like Don Atwood, Glenn Gierhart, Ed Harlamert, Bill Holt, and joe lohnston will be the nucleus for what could be an unbeaten team. 63 Q iw? f.,JsW - S Sf .3 T. Starting at forward this season was returner Earl Townsend, a 6-2 junior.chasing baird and showalter all year for the rebound lead, he ended up 20 rebounds short of baird's team leading 175. mike baker, bill's younger brother, started at the other guard. while only a freshmen, he averaged 10 points and three assists per game. heading up the relief this year was 5-10 senior jon toumey, whose hustle and enthusiasm could always be counted on in a tight situation. next year's squad will also be strengthened by returning veteran juniors ed harlemert, gary linard, freezell brown, and bob yingling. tl 7 T.
