VICA is the Vocational Industrial Club of America and it was designed to teach leadership in various business areas. We compete in district, state and national contest in the various categories ranging from auto mechanics to public speaking, said Mr. Dorsey, sponsor. VICA really helps me save up money for college by only going to school a half a day, said David Powell, VICA member. DECA is the Distributive Club of America and it enables the students to leave school, to obtain a iob and to earn credits while working part-time. DECA is a part of a instruction program and it tests skills students need for the job, said Mr. Cook, sponsor. This year DECA members participated in a volleyball tournament which was held with many other schools.
