ADMINI STRATI ON Mr. Oscar Mussman, Principal. Mr. Ben Gieringer, Vice-Principal. The World away from the protection of home and school is a frightening place for the unprepared. lt is my hope that the Class of 1969 is prepared -prepared for the freedom that is a part of the or- dered life. Such freedom is not the freedom which breeds chaos, but the freedom to make choices within the context of responsible action. Our society has made it possible for you to make choices since it is no longer necessary for you to use all your energy in meeting the bare needs of survival. You, as members of the Class of 369, will live in this kind of a world, and most of you will be able to decide on your purpose in life. lt is important that you know yourself, and, to the degree that God grants you the power, be true to yourself. Your parents, friends, teachers, and your school have helped you to learn the basics of life and to gain confidence. Go and serve your purpose. Do your thing. Hope- fully, it will be a heavenly purpose, for then will you know the peace of mind that freedom with direction and responsibility can bring. The world is indeed a challenging place, but it need not be frightening for you who have worked diligently to meet its challenge. Oscar F. Mussman
