This group was organized in the fall of 1952, the first year Park Hill High School came into existence. The council has definite aims and purposes for its being and they are: To provide means of creating better fellowship and understanding between faculty and students, and among students themselves . To give a greater oppor- tunity for self government and experience in democratic prac - tices. To strengthen the school. To encourage greater student participation in extra- curricular activities. We would like to thank the administration, fa c u lt y, and student body for their co- operation this year and we are proud of the accomplishments achieved. Warrensburg State College University of Missouri SUPERINTENDENT OF R-5 SCHOOLS the sup mntenoenfs ssaoe In a school which functions for the welfare of all, there is a sense of responsibility and cooperation which causes that school to operate smoothly at all times because each student and each teacher does his best to be sure every- one is in the place where he should be, doing what he should do, at all times. Every student and faculty member should feel that the position he or she holds in that school is of utmost im- portance, and he or she should understand that the moment that position is neglected the lives of every student and every faculty member are disturbed. Each part of our school is useful and necessary. Every department, club, and activity is very important and must not be neglected, because our school is our School Spirit, not our building. Our Morale, Attitude, School Spirit or, call it what you will, can function only as we each pull our share of the load and shoulder our part of the responsiblity of doing all assignments well, urging others to cooperate fully, and living happily together. My congratulations to all students who attend our school on their fine cooperative attitude. I extend heartfelt gratitude to every member of the faculty and Board of Education. I feel certain that people such as these, whom l have grown to love, will consistently lead students in even greater loyalty and cooperative thinking about con- tinual improvement of educational opportunities in Park Hill of future years.
