U FRESHMAN CLASS HISTORY Jerry Short, Vice Presidentg Bill Vicars, Presi- dent, Sharon Graves, Treasurer, Ellinor Boganes, Secretary, At the beginning of each year, a -new species of creatures called freshmen invades the premises of Park High, They make their grand entry in old, over-sized shirts, paper sacks, knee socks, and numer- ous other marks which make a freshman an outstanding individual, After a week of bowing to seniors, carrying books, and meeting the natives of this strange world Qwho are sometimes called upperclassmenj, the freshmen are presented in their full glory at the TNT sponsored Freshman Mixer, Throughout the year many talents are displayed by the freshmen. Early in the year our class officers were elected, Billy Vicars was elected president, Jerry Short, vice president, Ellinor Boganes, secretary: and Sharon Graves, treasurer, The freshman class was well represented in athletics by Billy Kemp, Ray Kastelitz, John Betz, Rod- ney Churchwell, Albert Sarisky, Jerry Short, Herb Beadle, and Taylor Lewis, plus many other wonderful athletes too numerous to mention. To cheer our boys on to victory, there were the B squad cheerleaders, our Lucy McNamee was one of them, Sandy Hager was the alternate, Among the scientists in P, C. H. S., the freshman class brought forth David Stein, first place win- ner in physical sciences in Montana, also Harold Hunter secured an honorable mention, and many others who participated in the District Science Fair, The freshmen in band were: Rodney Churchwell, Dennis Crane, Harlan Durgan, Karen Dutt, Gary Hackman, Jack Evans, Star Quisel, John Tedrick, Doug Griffith, Dickie Franks, Gretchen, Lueck, Rob- ert Pantzer, Caroline Nelson, Jerry Short, David Hillard, and Peggy Kicker. Those in orchestra were: Lovie Ann Koch, Sharon Newell, Clara Romans, Peggy Kicker, and Karen Dutt, Everyone knows spring is here when the girls begin talking TNT. The freshmen pledges were: Nancy Murphy, Peggy Kicker, Diane Morgensen, Carole Larango, Ellinor Boganes, Kay Schleicher, Judy Graham, and Sharon Graves.
