Our voyage symbolizes the journey to the island where the golden treasures of past and present knowledge are ours for the finding. It symbolizes the finding and conservation, through education of youth, of the best knowledge of past generations for the use of present and future voyagers. Gleaming amidst the gold of our educational wealth are jeweled memories of our friends and the many happy activities we shared at PCHS. Zin Qppmiatinn Because of his steadfast help to us in solving our many problems, Because of his ability to give us confidence when our problems seemed too great, Because of his leadership in helping us to organize our efforts and channel our energies in the right direction, Because of his sense of humor which has made our high school careers more enjoyable, Because of his teaching ability, Because of his enthusiasm for youth and his faith in our genera- tion, we, the 1955 Rangers, dedicate this book to Mr. Bakkum, advisor and friend.
