Several assembly programs provided breaks in the busy schedule of most of the students of Lincoln High. The first of these programs was conducted on November 7, by the Good News Quartet. This program consisted of a presentation of a variety of American songs, representative of several of the main eras. On February 7. Gary Wollerman is seen putting finishing touches on his panel. The students took an active part in several efforts which aided in the orderly and efficient running of the school. The most effective and over- all project took place on January 23. This was the day on which the students took the total responsibil- ity of running the school. Ray Draxler was chosen to be the Principal by the vote of the Student Union Representatives. Students filled the positions of all the teachers for the day, and presented the lessons which they had prepared. Other activities which were not as noticeable nor as recognized, consisted of the efforts of some students to help decorate the school at Christmas time, selling at the games, and making signs to back our Cards at the games. These are just a few of the activities which students at Lincoln participate in, outside of school hours. 19
