S uutye SeKteltl4K6 First comes the terror. Then the quiet expectation. And, ot lost, the knowledge thot onorher high school yeor, perhops the first, moybe the lost, hos begun. Everywhere you look, from the differences in the porking lot ond the people, you see something you've never seen before. New closses, new teochers. new friends. Everything is olive with chonge. And, It's not merely these stronge sensations. Even those things which seem fomilior hove subtley olrered themselves. But, along with the chonge, the yeor brings chances. Chonces to renew friendships neglected over the summer. Chances to finally meet thot excruciotingly gorgeous bobe you longed for lost yeor. Rare opportunities to involve yourself in school groups, to get your brain working ogoin after a balmy, hedonistic summer. New love affairs, brand new ways to cheot on tests (ond not ger caught!), fresh new concepts in illness. Every experience, every mood, every encounter. T oia$ a ate — 'ZOe fo tyuuv Emotional developments balanced out with many physicol chonges over the course of the year. A new building addition for the theatre tech crew ond the orchestra arose from o moss of rubble ond debris. A new bonk of computers wos instolled in the A-V oreo. And. o record amount of new students arrived or Pork Center on September 8th (ond throughout the month os the stragglers poured in). But more importantly were the advances we mode ourselves during the 87-88 year. Using all our resources, we brought a new focus to our lives at Pork Center. Trying out for the football team, chiseling oway of our homework with new fervor, or learning something new when you were convinced you knew oil there wos to know. Using ond developing our broins, ond building our bodies, we learned how to creore. ond enrich the world around us and gain a more profound understanding of ourselves.
