Pit orchestro. o group whose importance is sometimes overlooked, is another mo-jor contribution to ony musical. Anito Normon conducted the pit, ond found things running smoothly, except for o few emotionol conflicts with the pit members. Tryouts for pit were fairly simple, no strings, o small brass section ond percussion. Bo-sicolly. it wos on ensemble to bock up the piono. Boredom con be hord to ovoid while in the pit, but the members hove to hit cues, follow along, improvise when verses ore missed ond wotch the conductor ot oil times to moke o musical reolly happen. Although feor ond nerves were major obstacles for oil the groups, they reolly bonded together.
