Guys and Dells That’s What It’s All Abeut The cost bows, the oudience clops, rhe lights go our. Guys ond Dolls is over, or is if? The musicol itself is over, but they still ore together, ond they see eoch other quite often. Beth Beckey soys, my fovorite experience In rhe musicol was oil the outings we hod: they strengthened rhe unity of rhe group ond brought us oil together. This is felt by many of the cost members. Heidi Lorsen (rhe Generol) goes on to soy, We laughed together ond cried together; overall I just wonted to soy rhonk you to everyone for doing such o greot show ond for oil the love that wos shown. The show wos great, but it hod it's shore of on-stoge mishaps. In one performance the student director become involved in o gome of bridge ond did nor show up on stoge for o moment or two The leads olso experienced problems. In one scene Kothy Anderson (Adeloide) kicks o box, supposedly conrolning her wedding veil, however it flew open ond out fell o hot water bottle! During o video roping. Michele McCorty (Sarah) found robosco sauce odded to her water, after she hod drunk some. Mott Kromer ond Luke Wisniewski messed up o scene ond Mott dumped his drink over his heod. The show hod highlights for everyone Jone Morton remembers the warmness ond brightness of the stoge. Cori Schirmers soys, It's o very worthwhile experience Whereos Luke Wisniewski (Nicely-Nicely Johnson) enjoyed Just being in the musicol; I love being on stoge. To Ken Cheney (Benny Sourhsrreer) It wos like being port of one extremely large family ond Mr. Molewlcki ond Mrs. Hein mode two of the greatest parents I've ever hod. Julio Booth found. Mony new friends ond renewed old friendships. Michelle Kludr soid one of her favorite times during the musicol wos when I watched from the alcove ond sow the oudience laughing, clopping, ond cheering, ond seeing rhe energy flowing from the stoge. I loved it; it wos exciting. She goes on to soy. I can't believe rhe talent everyone hos, it wos better than some of the television shows I've seen on T.V. Mott Kromer. who ployed Sky Mosrer-son. concluded by saying, I liked the closeness rhor we hod with eoch other, the hugs, proyers. rears ond loughs will forever remoln with me. They’re Cornin’ to America! The Rotory Inrernotionol and Youth for Understanding programs provided on opportunity for students from other countries to come to America for o year of school. This yeor. Pork Center hod two foreign exchange students; Joerg Bauer ond Torbjorn Roberg. Joerg. 18, was from a town near Nuremberg, Germany. While in America he stayed with the Fritz family in Brooklyn Center. He liked Americo and felt young Americans hove a good attitude ond ore respectful to their elders. He said German youths ore trying to find new ways to express themselves.” He felt Americans hove a joy of living” ond the Twin Cities hos a lot of cultural appeal.” When asked whor he will miss most about the U S. he soid. I’ll miss riding the number 18 MTC bus. Torbjorn. 16, came from Oslo, Nor-woy. While in Americo he stayed with the Stongs. the Gundersons, ond the Heckmonns, oil of which have kids who go to P C. Torbjorn noticed o big difference in the school system here. He enjoyed the freedom to choose the classes he wonted os opposed to Norway where they selected his courses for him. Going out with friends wos o new experience for Torbjorn because the teens in Norway don’t go out” like Americon kids do. Although he enjoyed Americo ond the people he met. Torbjorn felt Minnesota wos too cold in the winter ond too hot in the summer! All In all, he soid. the U.S. wos much the some” os Norway.
