I feci very uncomfortable about this.” The 1976-77, 3-act play, You Can’t Take It With You. is an old favorite of many and is very suitable for high school production. The basic plot consists of a family, whose outlook on life is simply - do as you like. With this basic philosophy the family succeeds in de-stuffing” a rich, sophisticated businessman and helping him to realize the fact that, “You can’t take it with you. The combination of amusing antics and dialogue enables both the message and comedy of the play to reach the audience, making it an enjoyable experience for all. Surprisingly this year's 3-act cast has. for the most part, never been on stage before. This has provided for some interesting moments, some problems, and new experiences for all involved. One incident, which could be placed in the new experience category, is when the girls entered the boys’ dressing room by mistake and to their shock, found the room empty. Another situation that arose was when John Vandcr-heyden. Student Director, had to fill in for the part of Penny, a scatterbrained mother, his performance was convincing. Seriously, the young cast had some memorization and characterization problems, but through work improved upon their own acting styles. Overall this ear's 3-act play cast has had a good time creating a funny show. “I only meant, Anthony, that lust is. after all, a human emotion.1 27 I really don’t mind at all.” When I start seeing snakes, it’s time to lay down.
