Do I have to make a seating chart? ... Sometimes I don't honestly think any of them care” ... Eating school lunches ... A smoke in the English office ... ‘Uncle .lack' staying after hours to read reports and sing along with True Don Blue ... What is law?” ... New classes, scheduling confusion ... “Why do I have all ‘A’ students in my Remedial Reading class? ... Early mornings, late nights, just like students only several years older, wiser ... Can anybody tell me why .. .? ... how ...? ... Caring, searching, trying again and again ... and again ... 1 have the smartest, most-interested students such a pleasure ...” (over-heard in a hallway) Persuasions, ultimatums, discussions, lectures, enlightenment, boredom, learning, day-dreaming ... teachers provide ideas, students accept, reject, chew and digest .. or spit out ... knowledge and power through it .. . Growing, sharing, together ... PC faculty ... headaches, heartaches, disappointment, success, victory fleeting but so sweet ... Never giving up. often wanting to ... they've never had it so good?! If a teacher isn’t frustrated, he can't be a very good teacher. (A PC teacher) Our teachers... Think we'll keep them. Human and all.
