Language-the interface between cultures One interface between all the peoples of the world is language. There is a bond if they can communicate. To bring a basic understanding of the language and culture of French, German, and Spanish speaking peoples to students was the goal of P.C.’s Modern Language Department. Reading, writing, acting, and listening to tapes were all ways the instructors tried to achieve this. (upper r.)
