H. C. S. in the fall of 1958. Previously he was a physical education teacher at Potsdam Central. He has been of great assistance to the students of P. H. C. S. for 14 years. As students we have come to rely on Mr. Harring- ton a great deal. He has been of great assistance in helping us through high school and on to higher educa- tion. He will be greatly missed as a guidance director and as a friend at P.H.C.S. t  i 4 ■Bcdtcatton |Mrs. |Guqj Root Sometimes we understand, sometimes we do not. We do not understand why God takes away wonderful people. The person we are speaking of is and was a dedicated teacher and mother. She is greatly missed and loved by all. In loving memory we are proud to dedicate the 1972 Panorama to the late Mrs. Lucy Root. Mr. Tyler Our rapidly changing society brings many demands on all of us. The need for highly developed skills in every field of endeavor forces each to make careful, precise plans for the future. There are demands by industry for trained, skilled personnel. This may be attributed to the lack of experience of most of the boys on the team. All of the Panther's scores were close and with a little more drive they could have gone all the way. The batting was led by a senior, Steve Arquette, who had a most impressive .400 average. The pitching was led by Tim Taylor, a junior. The infield was young and only had two veterans in it. The Panthers hope to have a better season next year and with it they might go all the way . . . Dick Wickwire stretches out after the ball. 57 58 Back to Front - Coach Delosh, G. Gunning, M. Koen, G. Our tactics were very good this year, but due to unfavorable turnover and penalties called against the team when we were within scoring dis- tance, we didn't win any games. We feel though that we have a mor- al victory in that we could have won if we put all our skills together, and if the injuries hadn't weakened the team. Losing players through in- juries caused a setback in our morale. 59 Uaskrtball- ( 5o! iFight! 10 in ! BOY CHEERLEADERS - P. Cann, P. Bisnett, P. Saucier, K. Keener, M. Keon.
