mm FOREWORD The Panorama staff, along with the entire Senior class, leaves this book as a simple testimonial to the six years of fun and happiness which we have all shared here at PHCS. 2 IN MEMORIAM MR. MILTON B. SNELL (1902-1965) Mr. Milton Snell was born in Hopkinton, New York, in 1902. He spent his entire life in this area as a prom- inent farmer. He was a member of the Board of Educa- tion for 14 years, a part of which he served as president. Because of his fine personal qualities, his devotion to education, and his active participation in community affairs, he will be remembered and mourned for many years. Mrs. Julia Snell was a native of this area and, al- though she taught in our school system for only a short time, was admired by all who knew her. She was a dedicated teacher, wife, and mother and will be greatly missed by students, faculty, and community. MRS. JULIA SNELL (1933-1965) 3 DEDICA TION Because he is our friend . . . encouraging, advising, and contributing his warm under- standing whenever we need it . . . Because he has guided us enthusiastically and has often lent us the strength for success . . . Because he is a teacher who arouses in his students a new faith in their ability, who in- stills a love of truth and honor, and who, by the sincere dedication of his abilities, has in- spired those about him . . . We are exceedingly proud to dedicate this yearbook to . . . MR. JAMES H. HENDERSHOT 4 5 6 Your Senior year has arrived and my congratulations for continued success are extended to you. Society is changing quite rapidly and I am sure your diploma will be most helpful in your future endeavors. You are going to be confronted with many problems but with foresight and determination I am certain you will solve them. Good Luck! Curtis R. As we set forth upon our separate routes into the wide world, this book will serve as a reminder of the wonderful times we have spent together. Now that we have completed our four years of high school, it seems appropriate to leave some parting words to our underclassmen. Make the most of your remaining years of high school, and even though the road ahead seems impassible, have courage and face the future with hope and determination. These qualities will always help to carry you through your current tasks and to prepare you for new ones. CLASS OFFICERS THOMAS F. Within four years it should be fully equipped to handle all courses. The programs of Industrial Arts and Agriculture start in the Junior High School and lead the student into explanatory fields of Industrial and Agricul- tural occupations. This prepares the student to choose his high school program to better prepare him for his future occupation. The Industrial Arts and Vocational Agriculture programs are integral parts of general education. Their purpose is to provide experiences involving in- dustrial and farm skills information and procedures and to present and interpret them in such a way as to contribute worthwhile educational, vocational, and avocational requisites needed for the student after he leaves high school. We are indeed fortunate in having this addition to our school program and we invite you to visit the IAVA Building and discuss the program at any time. I ADVERTISERS We, the seniors of 1965, wish to thank our advertisers, for without their help, this yearbook would never have been a reality.
