Mr. Warren O. Daniels ln dedication of the 1962 PANORAMA, We honor a distinguished elder citizen of Parishville. For most of his 92 years he has dedicated his life in this community serv- ing as teacher, attorney, and statesman. Three generations of Parishville folk have felt his influence among them. We, as representatives of the youth of the Space Age, salute, as representative of the best in our heritage, our friend, Mr. Warren O. Daniels. A student of the first school in Parishville, Mr, Daniels, later graduated from Potsdam Normal in 1893 and taught in Ossening, then in Nichoville in 1898. He was ad- mitted to the bar in 1899 and has served the people of this area in that distinction for over half a century. From 1934 to 1940 he served as our New York State Assemblyman. Mr. Daniels was supervisor of the town of Parishville for 16 years and chairman of the board of directors and Vice-President of the Peoples' Bank of Potsdam. He was active in bringing Dr, Max Thaler to our town, Mr. Daniels is a dedicated member of the Parishville Union Church, several his- torical associations, and a member of the Masonic Lodge, with which he has served for 60 years. The name of Warren O, Daniels will live in our hearts and minds. We dedicate this book to him as a well deserved tribute to a lasting reminder of his contribution to the life of our community.
