CLASS HISTORY OF l952 Ona bright September morning in 1949 fifteen eager children entered the portals of P. H. C, S. Although our class' size has increased to twenty-three, only Larry Goodrich, Roger Hart, Joan Moses, Terry Hotaling, Janet Groeb- ler and Ilah Bradish were the original members of this group. As the population of our town increased greatly, so did our class. Phillip Benton was the first to join our group in the first grade. In the second grade, Ed Matthews from Potsdam joined our little troop. Robert Meashaw from Par- ishville Center School and Robert Wickwire from Potsdam came to us in the third grade. Following the fourth grade was Thomas Swift from High Flats. In the fifth grade Gary Butterfield from Stockholm School, Paul Kelley from West Parishville and ,Fred Gary from Stocholm School joined us. It wasn't until the seventh grade that Rose Tuper, from Colton, Thomas Ma Cumber, Laura Powell, Linda Converse, Bert Rosenbarker, Vance Eakins, and Mack Parker, all from Hopkinton entered our class. It was in the ninth grade that Carol Jones from Potsdam and Pat Gee, from Painted Post High School joined to complete our class. As we progressed through the halls of learning our activities broadened. Our first major accomplishment was our Eight Grade Graduation under the supervision of Mrs. Flora Miller. ln the ninth grade we sponsored a dance in April. In our Sophomore year we held two dances which were in October and March. Our big money making project was the selling of sweat shirts. In May we ordered our class rings. In September of our Junior year there was a Student Council Campaign. Janet Groebler won the election over the Senior candidate. In October we received our class rings. We held dances, sold School Daze, Christmas paper, cards and chances on a radio. In May we sponsored a car wash and food sale. Our two biggest projects were the Junior Jamboree and the Junior Prom. Our Senior year has proven to be the most active. We held a magazine drive in which Vance Eakins sold the most magazines. We held dances, movies and a turkey raffle. We sponsored a banquet for the Teachers' Association and a donkey basketball game. Our play, LOCK, STOCK, AND LIPSTICK, proved to be a great success. Our Junior-Senior Ball will be our last activity and at present we are all looking forward to our Washington trip. The Class of 1962
