A , , - 7545 Prmcnpal s Message To all students, but particularly to the members ef the graduating class, would like to address this principal's message. In recent years, whatever may be the reason, there has been pressure on all people to conform - to be average - almost to be standardized. There is a greater tendency to make security the main goal in life, and when disaster threatens to leek to the government to save us. If we as a people lose our individuality and our independence, allow ourselves to be ham ered into a mold, and are afraid te stand out above the average, then the future will be darkened. Work hard to develop your abilities. Within the bounds of morality and propriety, work out your own destiny to the very best of those abilities. Then you will have the sat- isfaction of something well done, of a life well lived. Page 9 x 'Q ' 1 -V . ' ' 'ony' X A . xi 3 . , I ' 'K .V - .jpg ,. fri, l1...g I-J xi' I I 4. X Q Q -,. First on the list of Student Council activities was a banquet held on 0ctoberlO, 1957 for the School Boards Associ ation of St. Law. County. New bus patrol and building patrol rules were set up this year with a strict enforcement of each. Student Council members patrol the halls and members of the student body were chosen to patrol on the bus and in the parking area. A stu- dent violating a rule three times is brought before the Stu- dent Council for questioning and if caught again he is sent to Mr. Turcott. At the basketball games this year the Student Council sold maroon pennants with P.H.C.S. written in white. Plans are underway for the sale Of Saving Stamps'to students in grades three through eight. Ten and twenty-five cent saving stamp orders will be taken on Friday morning and they will be distributed in the afternoon.
