If, therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do, let me do it now, let me not defer it or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.n This quotation well expresses the ideals of a service in a democracy, which Lincoln called Wthe last best hope of earth.n The educational system in our nation is designed for training in democratic living. This concept implies that young people must learn to accept responsibility and carry out that respons- ibility to the best of their ability. Therefore, every opportunity to serve others should be wel- comed, because in helping others we serve the welfare of the whole group and also contribute to our own good.

New fac- ulty members and the Board of Education were guests of the PHCS Teachers Association. Mr. Turcotte introduced the new teachers. The theme this year was guidance. There were four regular meet ings e The Association sponsored Open House during Education Week in November. This was well attended this year.
