Administrative Authority DR. J. R. MCLEMORE President Our President, Dr. J. R. Mcl.emore, needs no introduction. Affectionately called Dr, Mac by the student body, he rules Paris Junior Col- lege with a gentle, but firm hand. He was born in Erin, Texas, and attended rural schools of Jasper County. Dr. McLemore attended Sam Houston Teachers College and graduated in l9l8. He obtained his B.A. degree from East Texas State Teachers College, his M.A. from the Uni- versity of Texas, and his L.L.D. from Howard Payne College. He did additional work at S.M.U., Texas A. 84 M., the University of Diion in France, and Columbia University. Dr. McLemore was made Dean of'Paris Junior College in i929 and became President in l932. He has a grand sense of humor, likes to tell amusing stories, and enioys all sports.
