R ' Mrs. Dickerson Receives Dedication M rs. Mary Dickerson is not only a teach- er here at Paris High, but a friend as well. She is very much involved with the students she teaches and is very highly respected by her pupils and fellow faculty members. She received her Bachelor's Degree from U.K., her Masters from Western Kentucky University, and her Rank I from Eastern Kentucky University. This is Mrs. Dickerson's fourth year at Paris High School where she teaches Eng- lish II and journalism. She organized and coaches the PHS Academic Quiz Team and is adviser of the PARIS HICH PRIDE. She is very active in the Paris Lioness Club, the Alpha Delta Kappa Educational Honorary Sorority, the National Council of Teachers of English, the Kentucky Council of Teachers of English, the Kentucky Asso- ciation for Gifted Education, and the Uni- versity of Kentucky Alumni Association. Mrs. Dickerson attends the First Baptist Church and is the Youth Group Co-Direc- tor. Her husband. Mr. Jim Dickerson, is the Assistant Superintendent of the Paris City Schools. They have two children, Jay 8 and Whitney 6. In her spare time she enjoys swimming, reading, composing poetry and spending time with her family. Because she is a devoted teacher and mother who has given much to Paris High School, the PARISIAN staff dedicates its 1984 book to her. 30 Dedication
