% ■-V . • Mff •Parisian Senior Class, Paris High School, Paris, Kentucky TIMES OF YOUR LIFE Good morning yesterday, You wake up and time has slipped away. And suddenly it's hard to find the memories you left behind. Remember, do you remember The laughter and the tears The shadows of misty yesteryears The good times and the bad you’ve seen And all the others in between Remember, do you remember the times of your life? Reach out for the joy and the sorrow Put them away in your mind For memories are times that you borrow To spend when you get to tomorrow. Here comes the setting sun The seasons are passing one-by-one So gather moments while you may Collect the dreams you dream today Remember, will you remember the times of your life? 1 B. The Club members were recipients of many awards for their art projects during the year. They also helped decorate our community at Christmas by painting a nativity scene on the window of one of our downtown merchants. There they attend three hours of classes to gain three high school credits. This school serves Bourbon, Clark, and Powell counties. It is a federally funded pro- gram, whose purpose is to offer vocational career opportunities. They offer auto mechanics, building trades, machine shop operations, welding, auto body repair and health instruction. 73 School spirit is the life style of Paris High and the club that provides it is the Whoopers. Whether the teams are having the best of times or the worst of times, Whoopers are there sup- porting them and backing them all the way. Yelling at pep rallies and games is not all they do. This year they raised funds for the girls' basketball team. They also had concessions and made money for pep rally signs. Whoopers Club is one club in which the members always keep their spirits up. As the season first began, many had doubts as to how much success the team would enjoy since only a few lettermen had returned. But the depth of the team became obvious when they soundly defeated Nicholas County and took a third in the Newport Relays with some great performances, especially by Shack Woods and Stephan Jacobs. The team won a Tri-Meet from Frankfort and Bath County, but had a bad day in the Tates Creek Relays. Then the tracksters came in sixth in the CKC, took second at the Boone County Relays, and finished the regular season with the first place trophy in the Montgomery County Relays. Under the tutelage of Coach Jimmy Shipp the team qualified the following for the State Meet: 880 Relay - Maurice Garrard, Benny Thomas, Jimmy Robinson, Shack Woods; 440 Dash - Shack Woods, Jimmy Robinson; 880 Yard Run - Stephan Jacobs; Pole Vault - Mike With- row; Triple Jump - Maurice Garrard; Shot Put - Hal Clark, Perry Parker; Two Mile Run - Kevin Stiles; Mile Relay - Maurice Garrard, William Jacobs, Jimmy Robinson, Shack Woods.
