,3ln Jfflemortam MEMORIAL Wliy Death? How Death? Where Death? He died, he died without cause. Oh! i do not feel— i do not know. Yesterday he was here. He smiled and he laughed. We talked, i saw him. Alive-full of life. Where is he now? Why he today? The sky is blue, the air is cool. The sun shines. They laugh and joke. But he cannot—or can he? i knew him—i did not know him. He laughed, was funny. Nice, i liked him i loved him? Tears i feel. Do come and cleanse me. Wash away my grief. But i cannot grieve, i knew him not. He was happy. Happier now? i did not miss him this morning, know him not to be here. But now he is gone. He was not mine. Why do i feel for him? How will i feel for mine? When they are gone.
