Art Club President-Jo Ann Courtney Secretary-Larry Graves Vice-Pres. - Jane Peterson Treasurer-Judy Clark Mrs. Art Walters Sponsor The Art Club was organized in 1964 when art was first introduced into the Paris High curriculum. It is an organiza- tion made up of students who take first and second year art. Mrs. Art Walters is the sponsor and also the art teacher. There are four main officers who lead the group in constructive work. Throughout the year the Art Club has performed many services to benefit the school. The art students decorated for several high school banquets and social events. They gave dances, sold candy, made posters, and had several money-making projects. With this money they made a trip to the Cincinnati Art Museum, which has become a grand finale in the spring of the year for all students taking art. The Art Club not only promotes an appreciation of good art among the art students but also to the school and community. 19
