The Senior knights contributed an air of chivalry to this momentous affair. OF CAMELOT We were greeted as we entered the make-believe world of Camelot by the Junior class officers. President Ben ton Day and his date Rita Rogers, Treasurer Bette Goodman and escort John King, and Secretary Carolyn Baber and her escort Joe Bowman. We danced the evening away to the music of Ray Rector and his Orchestra. Waking, eating, and sleeping--All play a large role in the family life of OUR TOWN. Ah, Love--First love, eternal love, whatever love may be is a part of the daily life of all people. Death also takes its toll in OUR TOWN. No play would be complete without make- up. OUR THORNTON SENIOR TOWN WILDER CLASS PLAY Work and daily routine make the hours, days, and years pass rapidly. Marriage, the hope and dream of every girl, is a part of the joy of living. It takes many behind-the-scene people to make a success of any pro- duction. Add two talented directors to the group, and these add up to a never to be forgotten play. yy A MAD MAMMOTH The trip started off with a great big B-O-O-M. And everybody yelled-- Hey, give me more room! 98 And oh the creatures that did abound!! MULLABALOO . ♦ ♦ ♦ W-E-L-L here we are students So gather 'round... And Mama Roseberry Will lead you underground! I'm hungry, someone sighed, To the dining room we did stride. When we saw daylight we gave a shout! Cause we were all plumb tuckered out! 99 PHOTO Critics view Our Town Come with me to the Casbah! CHEERS!! Oh, come on, let’s do the twist Won't you? 100 Now Judy, you can dance as well as Helen! Did you see Miss Lavin and Mr. Stamper twisting? FOOLISHNESS Oh, those pop top cans! This is the Partiest little Nice... MASS EXODUS. Things go better with coke! A Picture?!? 101 GRADUATES ARE HONORED____ Twenty-one Seniors had the distinction of being Betas. Latin scholars are honored. Whit Criswell receives Rotary Cup for top scholastic basketball player. As you remember this year, think of the people you knew and the places you went. Remember the problems you encountered and the laughs you shared, and all the important things that happened to you. As the years go by and memories grow fainter we hope this annual will help you recall the events of this wonderful year; a year we will not forget-for there will never be another like it.
