THE ’64 PARISIAN Thirty-third Edition Published by THE ANNUAL STAFF of PARIS HIGH SCHOOL Paris, Kentucky Foreword it: As each one of us grows older, the memories of our high school years will grow fainter. The time will come when those crucial moments of high school will fade away and be replaced by other experiences, even more decisive. The 1964 Parisian Staff hopes that as you glance through this book, the memories of old friendships and precious forgotten moments will be recaptured. j0T • [WIN WATCHES 0 s ....IK lEYIELEl '•O UXINGTON MWS MUMMHD The time is 8:20 and a familiar one at Paris High School. It is time to start another day of school. But for us, the Senior Class of 1964, this early morning symbolizes the start of a new life for us. It is a life in which each day offers a new challenge and new hope. • • • •. Mr. Russell had been associated with the Paris Schools since 1948, first as Principal, then in 1953 as Super- intendent. He was recognized as one of the most proficient men in the State School systems. Everyone felt great respect and admiration for Mr. Russell because of his efficiency and devotion. He will long be remembered for the dedicated service he gave to the Paris City Schools, to his church and the community. It is not necessary to live, but to carve our names beyond that point, this is necessary. Galriele d'Annunzio Fa.ce to f Hall Congestion. Sophisticated Sophomores Rebound CHARLES rebound!! M., President John Fitzgerald Kennedy died from an assassin’s bullets. Many students of Paris High were on their way to the sectional play-offs at Lynch, when this incredulous news came over the air. This was indeed the most tragic event of our life time. Panic broke out in the cars and on the buses carrying the players and the band. We had all felt the influence upon our lives and will reverence his memory. He was undoubtedly one of the greatest men of our time and may we never forget his message to us — Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country. Inaugural Address Jan. 20, 1961 Face to Face with Memories Mrs. Scott counsels college-bound students. School spirit prevails And where have you been little boy? HOOTENANNY The Seniors work their way to Mammoth Cave... While they also work on the best annual ever??????? Sober, steadfast and demure. True Love???? 101 GO GREYHOUNDS! Our usual state of confusion. Come on... Just one little kiss... Senior cuties of the past. We are gathered here today. 102 HE has the highest IQ in the Senior Class?????? The Paris High Philharmonic and Lenard Bernstein. Don't just stand there stupid......DO SOMETHING! Was that Au Gratin or all rottin? One thing about the Senior girls, they're good housekeepers. Now students there will be no making out in the halls. .-X £ . V Ov' o 104 MAIN STREET MARKET INC. J. T.
