The butterflies filled our stomachs, And the teachers seemed so cruel. We met new friends to play with, To be with every day. And on and on those days have grown To years along the way. Twelve years ago we started, With the memories of each friend, And now it seems those memories Are drawing to an end. We have been together for so long We’ve shared, we've laughed, we've cried. It seems to us so very hard To take parting in our stride. We've laughed together -- Oh, the fun We've had throughout the years. We've shared it all: Our joy, our grief. Our happiness, our tears. So--if ever you'feel alone-- If ever you feeUblue-- Just look up old friends you had In the class of '62. Mary Walker SENIOR OFFICERS Stanley Grubbs . Jane Tomlin . , Martha Woods Kate Clay . . And the fish pail, and the wind's song And a gay dawn breaking. With the white waves and the clear sky, And the tall trees shaking. I must go down to the creek again, For the call of the running tide Is a kind call, a clear call That my soul can not deny. If I am not at school tomorrow, You will know the reason why, For the sky is clear and the sun is bright, I will be back by and by.
