DAN PEED Science The Senior Saga Just as the “forties were bowing out- Our educational wings began to sprout. In September of 1949, We thought school was mighty fine! The next six years went by without a struggle. We got our first diplomas, without any trouble. But we were in for a terrific shock. At the end of the Seventh, when we took stock; One-fourth had failed to make the grade. And the confidence of others began to fade. To make it through Junior High sure was great- Forty-four got their diplomas in '58. Being a Sophomore is such a mistake, There ought to be a way to avoid this fate. You're ridiculed by students and teachers alike. You decide that the cost is not worth the fight. Now you need not grin and think I'm kiddin! Everything is compulsory that is not forbidden. Finally we were Juniors and we got along without a fuss- It was just the steady plugging that got the best of us. We finished off the fifties and then began the fun- After the Junior Prom , we prepared for the final run. September rolled around; the building was delayed. But we tackled our Senior year, good-humored, and unafraid. The study hours are over and the school-days are ended- Let us all be glad for the pleasant memories blended. Don't look back-keep your eyes straight ahead - You'll find the golden sixties hold nothing to dread. From where we stand, we certainly like the view- come on , Opportunity. We are ready for you!!!
