We will part with a sigh, As the year draws to an end. During our senior year, We've had loads of fun and joy. We have something nice to remember About each teacher, girl and boy. We have had many good times With this you will have to agree. With all our parties, trips, and dances. We have really had a spree. We have all wanted to leave Paris High With all its books and lessons. But to leave our friends too, About this we are not so anxious. Class Night, Alumni Banquet, and finally Graduation, At all these we were honored guests, you and I. Many wishes, gifts, and congratulations. After that it was good-by. Yes, we have things to remember Both you and I About our friends and what we have done And now, we say--Good-by. Rena Hinkson Utevia Minyard ft- YM Jf V mm it -s K.A ! 'Tfattfi (fcacte Here we come Senior High--but left behind are many happy memories of our Freshman Year. We want to thank our teachers for their help and consideration, especially Miss Hunter and Mr. Davis, our homeroom teachers. We are very proud of both our football and basketball players; but especially our basketball team. Through the help of our coach, Mr. Frank Bloss, we won seven out of twelve games. These boys in our class received football and basketball letters: Hunter Pipes, Hugh Crombie, Edwin Conyers, Jimmy Morris, Benny Fugate, Jakie Elvove, John Adams, Reggie Monson, Charles Martin, Jack Shout, and Carl Gaunce. Our cheerleaders from the Freshman Class were Linda Boling, Tommy Buckner, and alternate Charlotte Boling. Representing us at Richmond in speech contest were Fran Cordray and Eleanor Ardery. Eleanor was one of the few earning membership in the National Forensic League. None of us will forget our Freshman Party. It was a real success because of the co-operation displayed by students and faculty. We have enjoyed our Freshman Year and we are looking forward to our coming years in Senior High. Seventh tirade The Seventh Grade is really great As a stepping-stone to number Eight. Though we have had our problems too, - With the teachers help, we've struggled thru. As for football and basketball too, We sometimes lost, but we're still true. Our lessons kept us away from the show, But that's how all the school days go. For the lessons we are ready, Knowing this job is always steady. On D's and E's we can't get by. So for learning, we all try. We try to make the honor roll. To reach the peak will be our goal. Mr. Downing is a top gym master. Teaches us how co-ordination avoids disaster. Teachers - Mitchell, Bloss, Purcell, Purnell, Will always rate with us as swell! !
