SENIOR CLASS POEM This year presents two silver keys To graduates of fifty-two, And one locks the past behind The other opens futures-new. For now we've reached the cross-roads And our paths will separate go And some will be out on their own Others seek further to know. We'll never sit in class again With members present all For some will scale the up most heights But few - we hope - will fall. But though our hearts with hope are filled And we look with faith afar, We realize that without friends We couldn't be where we are. And it's not all joy and gladness That we always thought would be We review our happy school days Somewhat sorrowfully. For now we know these last twelve years Will be just memories, And we can't go back and live them For the doors are locked with keys. But we plan with faith our future Hoping every day, thanks to you, And makes you proud for trusting in the class of '52. 18 Deirdre Jane Nolan
