CELEBRATE Student Life Life is ever-changing for the modern stu- dent. Academics has grown from the 3 R s to specified studies in science, advanced math, computer science, language, fine arts, vocational training, and an ever-increasing history. With each decade taking on its own look, styles have changed. From the poodle skirt to the mini-skirt, history has recorded them all. Men ' s hairstyles have evolved from the flat-top and the crew-cut to saloon-styling and the punk look. Students no longer secretly meet behind barns with their beaus. No longer do they hide to hold hands. Dresses and suits are no longer required for dating. A pair of jeans and a favorite shirt — the couple is ready to Time and a high tech society have sprung a new breed of student, eager to learn and move into the business world. More demands are made on the modern student. The future is opened to young adults with the sky no longer the limit. In 1955, Kenneth Cox.
