Hard Work, Thought, October, i955 - 4 - A special assembly was held to introduce the Owl Sweetheart Nominees from each of the four classes. 6 - Latin l students were auctioned oft to the highest bidders among the Latin II pupils at the annual slave sale. Home- coming Queen Nominees were announced to be Norma Bangs, Jackie Burch, Donna Jackson, and Geneva Wilson. ll -The National Honor Society installed seventeen new members in a special as- and Fun... sembly. i3 - A pep assembly in the gym preceded the McKinney football game. 21 -Homecoming Parade held. Norma Bangs was crowned Home- coming Queen at the Sherman-Paris football game. Paris lost the game by one point. 27 -The Voice ot Democracy Contest was held in the high school auditorium with students of various classes participating. The winners from PHS were Char- lene Blackstone, first, Maurice Chappell, second, Marsha Pyle, third. 2 OWL
