6 Mr. Landry's Great Senior Science Class took a day off from school and went to the big city of Portland for a Held trip. 7 Dr. Russell Eves entertained by playing an accordian and singing, activity period. Everyone was well entertained. 9 Goody-goody! County teachers convention. No school. No school Veterans Day. Hummmm, Wonder what I'll do? Today the Varsity team was chosen. With jan as center iorward the team looks pretty good. A 15 The Seniors have been studying and acting very hard. Tonight IS dress rehearsal of the Senior Play at the County Court House. The People VS. Maxine Lowe. Q 17 This is really a big night for the Seniors. Its time for the public showing of the Senior Play. 21 There was a good turn out for the Thanksgiving dinner in the cafeteria. The food was delicious. 24 First meeting of the Twin Town Teen Time at the Norway Armory. 28 The Senior play was so good, that by popular demand, a third showing was put on. The newly organized debating team attended a debate at Bates College, with Mr. Glover. DECEMBER 1 There was a very good turn-out to the Jack Quinn benefit basket- ball game. Our teachers took the Oflicials to the cleaners. 4 First basketball game of the season. Wow!! Paris 75 Norway 46. The V.s also won 37 to 31. 5 The girls had their first basketball game of the season today. They really know their stuff. Paris 29 to Andover's 18. The V.'s lost 73 to 37. 7 The Cardinals win again. Gould Academy 40 Paris 70. The V.s lost 49 to 46. They played overtime. 11 The boys are really on the ball this year. Another victory! Paris 56 to Mexico's 53. The V.s lost and the girls Won. 14 Each class had a Christmas Party in their home rooms. The girls that played basketball at Oxford that afternoon missed all the fun. The Varsity beat Oxford that night by one point. 48 to 47. The V.s also won 53 to 46. 18- The Cardinals lost their first game of the season to Mechanic Falls. 64 to 43. The -I. V.s won 54 to 42. 17-31. Christmas vacation! 12 14 JANUARY 4 Paris Cardinals lost basketball game to Bridgton at Bridgton 73 to 38. The V.'s also lost 36 to 33. 8 Basketball game at jay. Paris suffered another defeat. 64 to 33. The V.'s lost 36 to 34. 11 Congratulations! jean Lindsay Won the Future Homemakers award. McFalls emerged victorious over Paris at Norway Armory. 60 to 43. V.'s lost 49 to 28. 12 Tough luck boys. Another basketball game was lost to Oxford at Paris. 42 to 26. The V.'s won 32 to 30. The Cardinals lost to Mexico 62 to 32. The V.'s lost 64 to 37. Paris played and lost to St. Dom's tonight 79 to 57. V.'s lost 54 to 31. 25 Basketball game at Bridgton today. Paris lost 68 to 38. j. V.'s lost 38 to 34. 15 18 FEBRUARY 1 The girls played and lost .to Oxford in the gym after School. Livermore defeated Paris 61 to 43. 5 Paris lost traditional rivalry game to Norway. 56 to 53. The J. V.'s lost 51 to 38. 8 Cardinals win last game of schedule by beating Gould. Hurrah! 62 to 47. 14 Paris is rejected from tournament by a loss to Jay at Rumford Armory. So closes this basketball season of Paris High School. 74 - 35. 35

We were defeated 44 - 0, but the Cardinals sure looked good. 14 This is almost too much! Another half day off because of the fair. Hope you didn't forget that big stack of books you brought home from school. Oh well, the fair only comes for one little week out 15 Played Bridgton at home. Another defeat 45 - 0, but we're still trying. 17 Horrors! The seniors had their class pictures taken today. Why, it was only yesterday that they were Freshmen! 18 Freshmen Reception. How could the Sophomores be so mean? Representatives from 3 different jewelry companies showed their stock today. The Sophomores selected rings from Herif Jones. 22 The football game of the year! Paris topples Norway 14 to 0. What a game! 28-29 Governor's Youth Highway and Safety Conference in Augusta. Anita represented Paris High. 29 The football boys played Gould at home. 'Gould took home the bacon and the pigskin. Q13 - 05 OCTOBER 4-5 Teachers Convention at Lewiston. No school. Hooray! 6 Played Jay at Jay. Lost 33-0. Kind of disappointing after beating Norway. What a cold night! Everyone is wrapped up to their ears. We couldn't freeze. We had to watch the Paris - Mexico football game under lights. Q44 - OJ - Mexico beat Rumford too! 16 The Friden Calculator Co. left a calculator for the Commercial siidents to use for a few days. Oh! To have a brain like that t ing ....,..,.. 19 What a bunch of girls! Tonight Paris is just swarming with them as Paris plays host to the F. H. A. district meeting. 20 P. H. S's gym is full again. The Oxford County 4H exhibitions were held in the gym. Played Livermore Falls at Livermore and won 6 - 0. Boy are we happy. 27 Played Norway at Norway. Golly, our last football game ended in another tie. Q20 - 20D What a Wonderful game. 27 The Victory Dance sponsored by the Norway-Paris Student Coun- cil was held at Paris. It was a great success. Who were the Victors? NOVEMBER 1 Boy! What a paper. The first Student Voice of the year came out toda . 5 Senidrs had Kuder Preference tests to see what jobs each person will be best suited for. 34

' MARCH Some Senior boys went to Lewiston to End out the results of a vocational test they had taken. Other Seniors' will go later on. There was a big turn out to the Paris Gym to hear all the many wonderful Prize Speaking Pieces. Paris sent some speakers to Mexico to the Oxford County Public Speaking Contest. They were Agnes Swan QOratoryj, Alice Viles QHumorousj, and Stephen Hicks QDramaticQ. APRIL April Fools Day, and what a time everyone is having! A big night for the Juniors. Tonight they put on their play for the public. Arrived in New York at 7:00 A.M. and registered at the Shelton Hotel. After breakfast they started their tour consisting of the Statue of Liberty, Radio City Music Hall, Observation Roof Tour of the R. C. A. Building. In the evening they attended a stage show, The Most Happy Fella . Left New York at 7:30 A. M. for Philadelphia. Then they visited Independence Hall, and Valley Forge. They hope to arrive in York, Pennsylvania at 6:00 P.M. where they have a free evening. Left York at 7:30 for Gettysburg Battlefield. They visited the Electric Map and other highlights of the battle sites. Then they took the Sky Line Drive for a visit to the Sky Line Caverns. From Left Washington for Arlington to visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldeir, to Mount Vernon, and the National Cathedral and the Fransiscan Monastery. Arrived in New York in time to attend the Roxy Theatre. Then left for Maine. Some very talented kids left for the University of Maine today to the Maine Speech Festival. Participating were: Dennis Smith, Skippy Thayer, Elizabeth Morton and Gary Shute. Loring Studio was at Paris today to visit the juniors. MAY Today the White Studio visited with the Juniors. They are so Confused now. Everyone's pictures look so nice. The juniors did a splendid job in decorating the gym. The Junior Senior Prom was a big hit with everyone. JUNE Golly, it doesn't seem possible. Graduation is almost here. To- night the Seniors had their Baccalaureate service. .The last day of school. Many awards were given out to all the lucky ones.
