This year's Prom, For Just a Moment, was held on May 14,1988 at the Sycamore Hills Country Club. As one entered the Country Club the area suddenly sprang to life, with black and silver balloons covering the walls and corners of the room. The tables were neatly decorated with intertwined black and silver streamers. The lighted candles resting on small mirrors provided a romantic touch to the evening. The time seemed to fly by as couples danced to Small Change, a small but great band from Terre Haute, Indiana. The band was by far the highlight of the evening going as far as taking requests from several demanding seniors. Brad King and Cindy Fleming were crowned King and Queen by Junior Class President Lisa Cerra and her date, Kevin Evitt. The reigning King and Queen led the other couples in a slow dance following the coronation. As time passes, thoughts of Prom will be succeeded by other events, but the fun and excitement of the 1988 Prom will never fade. Events 29
