Being a Freshmen gives many students the chance to meet new people, do new things, and just be themselves. Practically every greenie gets picked on the fitst couple of weeks of school: for example, writing ''greenie'' on Amanda Stepp and Brittany Witlock s faces or having Shane Calvert push candy sprees in front of the Hanger. Every year greenies endure about the same torture such as being last in line at the Hanger, being called names, carrying upperclassmen's books, or just being a greenie. After about three weeks of initiation the freshmen settle into their daily routines and know their schedules. During Homecoming, the Freshmen class took first place in the float contest. The Freshman did very well in this year's Homecoming and Winter Carnival class games, and from the looks of them, they should do very well in the future. From electing class officers early in the year to participating in the many activities P.H.S. offers, the Freshmen have really gotten involved. With their growing spirit, the class of '91 is one of a kind. J.R.
