Jerry hos com- piled an enviable record for any Cross Country participant. Included in this hard- to-beat record which began ear1y in the season: First Paris ineet with Wiley, Jerry set a new course record 10:17. At home, Paris, his course record is 9:58; at the Cumber- lond Invitational, Jerry broke the course record with 9:56. In in-between meets Jerry kept his record, and ot the Charleston meet, he broke the course record with 10:24, also Jerry made a new course record at the Farina Lo Grove Invitational, and so the record of Mr. Cross Country grew. 1n the Eastern Illinois Conference, Jerry's record was 9:43 - needless to say, a nice win. In District competition, Jerry took second place. Among 200 plus entries, our Jerry placed 40th in State competition. Anybody want to challenge Mr. Cross Country of P.H.S.? A hilarious story evolves when an attractive member of the Hol- royd family decides to pursue a handsome mortal man, on action almost unthinkable for a witch to undertake. The story is embellished by a nutty author who suddenly learns that magic and witchcraft do exist, by a mischievous aunt who cannot help but get into trouble, and by a fun- loving brother who constantly gets involved in his sister's affairs.
