Mountains of books, Oceans of knowledge, Rivers of thought And valleys of reasoning— All make up the geography of our school world. Ranges of ideas come through On plateaus of fun, Streams of chatter With blizzards of homework In valleys of activities At Paris High School— OUR WORLD.

ROBERT GROSS RAYMOND MASSEY DON BELT EUGENE KILLION President Secretary WILLIAM PATTON FLOYD MILLER, JR. DON CAVINS The aim of the Board of Education is to provide the best possible educational system for our students, one that is consistent with the ability of our community of responsible citizens to support. Along with this aim is the desire to give adequate consideration and appreciation to our teachers who are the very heart of our educational system. Raymond I. Massey I believe public education is the best means to promote the welfare of our people and to preserve the democratic way of life. Eugene E. Killion I believe the school's primary function is to provide and encourage modern, high quality educational experiences to the youth of the community through educational experience provided by properly trained, dedicated teachers in an atmosphere conducive to learning. The school Board sets the stage through policies and material things but must leave it to the teacher to produce the experiences through which learning is accomplished. Don Cavins I believe the main objective of public education is to provide equal educational opportunities for all children, which will encourage and stimulate their continuous growth. We should strive to help each student to think clearly, logically, and independently, and to know and to master his own powers and potentialities and to exercise these powers with due regard to the rights of others. Floyd A. Miller, Jr. 5
