MUSICAL 1. Ado Annie (Kerri Hutchinson) wants Will Porker (Mike Buzzell) to talk purty 2. Jud Fry (Jamie George) asks the Peddler (Todd Hepler) if he could get him a little wonder 3. Curly (Mike Pufahl) and Laurey (Becky Hollander) sing Peo- ple Will Say We're In Love OKLAHOMA Draws Large Audience 3 Mike Pufahl, Mike Buzzell, Kerri Hutchinson, Monica Manthey, Todd Hepler, and Jamie George played the lead roles in P.H.S.'s rendition of the musical OKLAHO- MA. The farmers and ranchers had a hard time getting along in Oklaho- ma Territory. In the middle of all the hassles, a peddler, Todd Hepler, came to town and was be- ing forced to marry Ado Annie be- cause her father thought she shouldn't marry Will Parker, a ro- deo star. Later Will thought he tricked the peddler out of $50 which he need- ed to marry Ado Annie. During the box social, Curly, played by Mike Pufahl, beat Jud Fry, a sinister farmhand, out of Laurey's food hamper. Laurey and Curly were then married. The scenery, under the supervi- sion and direction of Mr. Taylor, included an old farm house sur- rounded by a white picket fence and a corn field. The musical showed the unified efforts of the cast, crew, musi- cians, and directors. The success of OKLAHOMA was due to the hard work and cooperation of the students and staff. Musical 29
